By joining the Compact, CRISMACHEM is thus committing itself to aligning its operations with the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact

The Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact enjoy universal consensus and are derived from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Declaration of the International Labor Organization concerning Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on the Environment and DevelopmentĀ and the United Nations Convention on Corruption.

The 4 thematic areas in which the 10 principles are distributed are:

HUMAN RIGHTS:

1. Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights.
2. Make sure their own corporations are not complicit in human rights abuses.

LABOUR:

3. Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining.
4. The elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour.
5. The effective abolition of child labour.
6. The elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.

ENVIRONMENT:

7. Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges.
8. Undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility.
9. Encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

ANTI-CORRUPTION:

10. Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.

Logo We Support the global Compact

CRISMACHEM commit itself to align its operations with the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact within the 4 thematic areas, as well as to adopting measures in support of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At its core are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call to action to all countries and social actors. At Crismachem, given our role as social actor, we recognize that we can contribute with strategies to improve our social, economic and environmental impact. For this reason, besides working to create an increasingly sustainable company, we actively contribute to improve health and education, reduce inequality and stimulate economic growth, all while tackling climate change by improving our operations and activities in the supply chain.

Launched in 2000, the United Nations Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world currently comprising more than 11,000 entities from over 150 countries. Thus, by adhering to the pact, the company joins thousands of companies worldwide and undertakes to carry out responsible business/corporate actions to create the world we want.
