Crismachem is certified as a Great Place to Work™

– Marcelo Montoro –

CRISMACHEM has become one of the first companies in the chemical distribution sector to achieve Great Place to Work™ certification. This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a positive and nurturing work environment for all our employees because at CRISMACHEM, we firmly believe that our success is based on the well-being and satisfaction of our team.

The idea of Great Place to Work™ was born in the mid-1980s to identify the top organisations that create excellent work environments. The starting shot for the creation of this label was, in fact, a report by Robert Levering, a journalist who covered work-related issues and, in particular, workplace conflict.

Today, Great Place to Work™ is dedicated to supporting organisations to achieve better results through a culture of trust, high performance and innovation. The GPTW seal attracts the best talent in the market, reduces turnover rates, differentiates the certified company from its competitors, and also encourages practices that help employees connect with the company’s culture and bring more value to the organisation. Thus, this certification serves as a pull factor for professionals. It is not just about status, but about ensuring a good organisational culture and a healthy working environment for professionals to develop their skills and be valued.

At CRISMACHEM we would like to thank each member of our team for their dedication, effort and enthusiasm. This achievement is the result of working together and the collaborative culture we have built together.

We remain committed to continuous improvement and to providing a work environment that promotes the professional and personal growth of all our employees.

Thank you all for making CRISMACHEM a Great Place to Work™!

Crismachem becomes industry’s first Carbon Negative distributor

– Marcelo Montoro –

We are proud to announce that CRISMACHEM has become the first Carbon Negative company in its sector.

With the distribution channel being one of the least proactive in terms of CO2 calculation, reduction and offsetting, we at CRISMACHEM have invested twice our emissions in environmental projects supported by the United Nations.

Thanks to a solid financial basis and thorough data analysis, we have offset 28 tonnes of CO2, the equivalent of 157 avoided air travels.

We have also initiated an emissions reduction process in which we aim to involve all stakeholders in the supply chain.

Sustainability is in CRISMACHEM’s DNA!

Crismachem closes 2023 with focus on internationalisation and sustainability

– Marcelo Montoro –

CRISMACHEM has closed the 2023 accounting year with an increase in turnover of 52% over the previous year; figures that demonstrate the robustness of the company’s business model.

This year has been an exciting and challenging journey for CRISMACHEM, in which we have undertaken the challenge of the internationalisation of the company, becoming an ICEX Next company, increasing exports and finalising the opening of two delegations. We have attended relevant trade fairs such as Big 5 in Dubai or China Coat in Shanghai, which has also allowed us to share knowledge, explore new trends and business opportunities and establish valuable connections with other key players in the industry, in events that provide the perfect setting to refine the business vision in terms of raw materials and customers.

The company has also embarked on the path towards offsetting its CO2 emissions, while at the same time we have presented a roadmap for the gradual reduction of these emissions.

Doing the right thing because it is the right thing to do, for a sustainable economy that combines long-term profitability with social justice and care for the environment. This is our commitment as a company.

We look forward to the year 2024, which will bring us new challenges in this exciting adventure!

Crismachem closes 2022 consolidating its position in the market

– Marcelo Montoro –

CRISMACHEM has achieved excellent results during the year 2022, surpassing the best expectations. With a revenue that is 30% higher than in 2021, the company has demonstrated its ability to adapt to a changing economic environment and remain profitable.

One of the main factors that have contributed to the company’s good results has been its focus on technical support for customers, highly valued by them. Additionally, CRISMACHEM has significantly improved its supply chain and strengthened its relationships with key suppliers, while establishing new business agreements. The company has adopted a more strategic approach to its purchasing management, which has allowed it to reduce costs and improve the efficiency of its operations.

We approach 2023 with enthusiasm and the challenge of identifying growth opportunities in other markets and sectors, which will promote the diversification of our income while reducing exposure to regional risks.

Crismachem doubles sales and earnings in 2021

– Marcelo Montoro –

It is a pleasure to announce that CRISMACHEM, the specialist in the distribution of raw materials and chemical products for construction and CASE applications, has closed the accounting year 2021 by doubling its turnover compared to the previous year, despite the persistence of the Covid-19 pandemic and the difficulties caused by the shortage of supplies, aggravated by the crisis in land and sea transport.

Beyond this data, CRISMACHEM has managed to significantly increase activity levels in many areas of the company, which has strengthened the company and makes it more stable in the face of variations in the economic cycle.

Proof of this is the achievement of new distribution contracts with leading manufacturers, the increase in the number of active customers and the level of employment, the advances made in corporate governance, the improvements made in the performance of processes, our joining to “Responsible Care” program at the beginning of last year or the publication of our first Communication on Progress  (COP) Report through the United Nations Spain Global Compact initiative, which shows our commitment to the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda and represents our roadmap for sustainable growth.

This commitment of which I speak, is built from our employees, and for this reason, within our objectives of promoting health and well-being, CRISMACHEM has also been certified as a “Brain Protected Space” by the Freno al Ictus Foundation.

Thus, the sixth wave of Covid-19 registered in Spain and Portugal has not been able to with the positive evolution that CRISMACHEM has had in the industry throughout the year, in an increasingly dynamic market and despite the bottlenecks experienced in the supply chain.

We trust that, despite the uncertainty that surrounds us, this new year will bring great opportunities that we must take advantage of, together with our employees, clients, suppliers, principals and collaborators, to whom we undoubtedly owe the success of our organization and to whom we thank them, through these words, for their commitment to the company. Thank you for being part of the CRISMACHEM family.

CRISMACHEM awarded with the «Brain Protected Space» certification granted by Freno al ICTUS Foundation

– Marcelo Montoro –

We are proud to announce that CRISMACHEM has been certified as a “Brain Protected Space” by the Freno al Ictus Foundation for implementing, in 100% of its staff, online training that allows the identification, stabilization and action in the event of a stroke in  workplace or in family and social environment.

Stroke is the leading cause of death in women and the second in men. 1 in 6 people will have a stroke in their lifetime. It is the 1st cause of worldwide disability in adults.

The aim is to inform and train companies and employees to know what the risk factors and their prevention are, the alarm signals and the correct action to save time on the clock and be able to be of help to others, both in the work and personal environment.

“Brain Protected Space” certification  is part of the project “Brain Caring People Company”, which is the seal of recognition of the  Freno al Ictus Foundation framed within the actions of healthy company, occupational risk prevention, medical service, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development goals (SDGs) of organizations. The training content has been developed with the collaboration of the Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN) through its Group for the Study of Cerebrovascular Diseases (GEECV) and is backed up by the scientific society itself and has the support of the Spanish Association of Specialists in Occupational Medicine (AEEMT) and the Spanish Association of Occupational Prevention Services (AESPLA).

The project also includes the CRISMACHEM awareness campaign against stroke, which aims to make visible and inform society about this pathology, its prevention and the importance of time to act against it. The campaign consists of a set of informative materials that will be distributed through the different communication channels.

Crismachem publishes its first Communication on Progress (COP)

– Marcelo Montoro –

I am pleased to confirm that, after our first year of belonging to the Spanish Global Compact Network, CRISMACHEM reaffirms its commitment to the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

Given our role as social actor, we recognize that we can contribute with strategies to improve our social, economic and environmental impact. For this reason, besides working to create an increasingly sustainable company, we actively contribute to improve health and education, reduce inequality and stimulate economic growth, all while tackling climate change by improving our operations and activities in the supply chain.

In our first Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations.

For this new year, we have new challenges in terms of human resources and the environment on which we are working intensely with great enthusiasm, so that they will soon become part of the reality of the company.

We are committed to sharing this information with our stakeholders using our main communication channels at the same time that we want to thank and congratulate the Spanish Global Compact Network for the extraordinary work of raising awareness, disseminating and promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that we support.

Crismachem is recognized as Innovative SME by the Government of Spain, through the Ministry of Science and Innovation

– Eugenio Navarro –

Innovation is one of the essential factors for the economic growth of a country, hence it occupies a prominent place in European and national policies, becoming one of the key factors to job creation, medium-term growth, productivity and ultimately the improvement of competitiveness.

When it comes to innovation in SMEs, there are those who think that to be an innovative company it is enough to research or apply new ways of doing things in production processes or services. But beyond this reality, in order to be an innovative SME, in addition to a series of formal requirements, a real activity in terms of innovation policy must be demonstrated.

Spanish Royal Decree 475/2014 of 13th June 2014 establishes the definition of Innovative SME and through which the Ministry of Science and Innovation recognizes companies that carry out R&D&I activities. This seal distinguishes companies that are committed to innovation by carrying out intensive activity in this area.
In this way, and after the certification of its R&D&I management system in accordance with the UNE EN 166002 standard, CRISMACHEM takes another step in increasing the added value of the brand.

The United Nations Global Compact operates in Spain through the Spanish Network, which currently has more than 1,500 entities attached to this corporate social responsibility initiative.
